Meet Ishwari Samarakoon

Hello there! I’m thrilled to connect with you and share my journey as a fellow Speechie.

My name is Ishwari but everyone calls me Ish or Ishie. I love connecting with, and supporting, Speechies to live their best Speehie life.

Why? Because I know first-hand just how hard it can be.

I understand the feeling of imposter syndrome and the overwhelm. I understand what it’s like to want to be the best you can be, and make the biggest impact, coupled with wanting to be able to switch off and feel calm. I understand wanting your days to run smoothly, and to feel accomplished with your day’s work. I also understand wanting your downtime to be relaxing and guilt-free, so you can be present and connected with the people you love, doing the things that fill your cup.

Speech Pathology is not just a profession to me. It’s a calling. A calling that lights up my very soul. The impact of helping children communicate and supporting families through their unique journeys is simply unmatched. I wake up every day with a profound sense of purpose, knowing that my work has the power to improve lives. I also love the balance I now have. Where I have time to indulge in my passions. To spend abundant time with my husband, travel the world, eat amazing food and enjoy new experiences.

I wholeheartedly believe that every Speechie has the potential to shine brightly and create a lasting impact, without burnout or overwhelm.
